Met an amazing man on Zoosk. We clicked immediately! We've been exclusively dating for almost seven months now and see a future. To think I was a widow, curious and seeking possible friendship!

Having glanced through some of the negative reviews, I can only echo their complaints. You get the feeling most accounts on here are fake. But what is maddening is that I know Zoosk could do something about it and they don't. They won't let you search by verified accounts. They do nothing for IP location tracking. After you've looked at enough profile pictures, you realize most of them are fake and claim they live in these remote places no one knows about. I wish I felt like these reviews would force their hand.
They may have some real profiles, but I haven't met any of them. I met dozens of scammers and a few social misfits. There is no background check, no profile verification and basically no customer support. Look for your partners at a proper place (a legit site that cares about its reputation and doesn't let scammers in). Don't waste your time on Zoosk!
Tried this app so far for a week, it has a lot of bugs, not very stable, but the worst is the customer service, and response, they manipulate the app from within. You pay for a subscription, and if someone likes you you have to pay again to see who it is, now I realize why most customers are not subscirlbers. Most people are from out of the area….tried to get a refund so I can remove myself. Don't waist your money, use it for free is the only option now
Tip for consumers:
Use it free, don’t waste your money
Spent a year on this site and was not able to connect with a single person, even people who sent messages to me. Many photographs and participants were fake. Don't waste your money!
Tip for consumers:
Read the reviews about a site before purchase and make sure the reviews are not from the site.
Very Expensive and it's an auto renewing subscription so bingo. On the due date they deduct your money. These auto renew subscriptions are actually not an acceptable business practice - and the subscription should end at midight on the date of such. Zoosk renew it at 12.01 AM!
The process to cancel it is difficult.
They do not provide an email address on theri site
All they want is your money!
Tip for consumers:
Try something else
It took a long time on Zoosk to finally find my true Love. She's amazing; good Luck to the rest of you all in the same search.
I paid for a 6 month membership. After a couple months I went to log in and it said my account was blocked by an administrator. After several conversation with their rude employees I was told I would have to open another account and once I paid they would credit my account. I paid for a 6 month membership again and after 2 weeks my account was blocked again and I never received my credit. Now I'm out over $100 and Zoosk won't respond to my emails. Big rip off!
Tip for consumers:
Save your money. Try another site.
I have noticed a serious degradation in the quality of people on Zoosk and lots of fakes profiles. Another pet peeve is fake likes. So it's turning out into a waste of time with 5% chance of getting a real date. So I cancelled my Zoosk membership. To be honest, it gave me absolutely nothing for the money I paid or should I say wasted. I don't recommend it.
I checked out this website to see if it would be something I'd want to pay for, and I'm not sure it quite fits that for my tastes. As a gay man, generally I prefer to go to sites that are either queer-focused - having a stronger sense of what my needs are for a dating site - or with clear queer influence into how the site is set up, such as OkCupid.
That said, the site was overall professional-looking and solid. I did have trouble uploading an image, but otherwise I set up a profile very easily, saw at least one person in my area of interest, and I enjoyed filling out the icebreakers. I can imagine using this in the future but would probably want more of a taste of what's available before spending money on it (I wasn't able to look at anyone's profile in any depth).
Tip for consumers:
Keep in mind you don't get very much for free - you have to pay for a lot of the content.
I finally decided to subscribe to Zoosk after a couple of months of creating an account. Within less than 4 hours I had my account locked by an administrator for posting a picture in my new profile of an artwork in which nudity was depicted. I didn't realize that artistic nudity was not allowed. However, I have now been permanently banned from Zoosk for an image that was removed. I think that is a little overkill since it was removed and I now understood that it was in violation of their policy. They did say they would refund my subscription but that I could no longer be a customer.
Tip for consumers:
Their policy is not to allow refunds, in my case they did offer to refund me when I called to find out why I had been locked out of my account. They had sent me an email indicating that an image I posted to my profile was removed but that email did not indicate that I was also banned from their site. If you don't pay for a subscription you will get many daily email notifications of messages & profiles that you aren't allowed to read or respond to. That's fair, but banning new customers is bad
They have a lot of fake accounts.
They still $99 from my bank.
I requested refund before 24 hours I signed up and they refuse.
It is designed to still people cash.
Tip for consumers:
If the information on App is true or fake.
Can out that is a lot fake.
First off this site has no way to determine distance. You'll get people hundreds of miles away viewing your profile and wanting to meet you. Also there are many, many fake profiles. If you message someone and don't get a response look at their pictures very carefully. You can tell if the picture is superimposed. In the York pa area there is a very good looking man with his dog in front of a lake. It is superimposed. You can tell because he is standing on top of the water.
On this site no one responds. It's because there are so many fakes that people searching for the love of their life get frustrated and give up responding.
This site costs less than others but don't kid yourself. All dating sites are the same and owned by the corporation.

This site has many many people listed on it that have cancelled their membership. Some are friends of mine! Now me! The site will send you notifications of "people who want to meet you" and after you contact them, you find they made no such indication, other than looking at their image! If you use the "search" option, it will process any view as someone you interested in even if you have no such desire. If you don't keep your original photos for your profile up, the site blocks you from using the app. The site in all ways possible lacks any integrity what so ever! I dropped my membership after 2 weeks due to the lies and abuse by the site!
I would add photos of my purchase and my experience, but the site deleted ALL info as soon as it saw I might be deleting my account. There are some real people on the site, although most do NOT FALL WITHIN your chosen preferences.
I write to warn others of my experience with zoosk clients. On one occasion, a putative client presented herself as a woman living 40 miles from me. She shared my interest in antiques, seemed quite as well informed about her field as I would expect. After about a week of Increasingly intimate messages, she postponed a scheduled date because she had gotten a lead on a possible contract for her to supply a wholesale dealer in antiques with quality pieces of Canadian antiquities. She documented her flight from Logan Airport in Boston to Toronto with photos of herself in setting I recognized from my travels. All went well until she was unable to draw $6,000 from her bank. I refused to give her the money, but asked her to establish a basis on which I could evaluate the credibility of her story. I expected there to be large holes in her yarn. To my astonishment, she produced a credible invoice for the $6,000 written on the letterhead of an organization that advertises on the internet and in magazines that are currently circulated among antique dealers and is a member of the Dothan, Alabama, chamber of commerce. The instructions for payment was directed to a bank doing business in Dothan Alabama. Finally, the people involved in the scene presented to me answered telephones identified through 411.
In summary, this is the most elaborate and sophisticated internet scam I have found in 40 years of study of this behavior.
After having experienced this event, I used the one tell (indicator that the scam was a fraud) that proved the most effective way to detect fraud to identify 8 other clear frauds. I was able in all but one of these 8 cases to corroborate my conclusion by the presence of a second indicator that the clients were not who they claimed to be.
Zoosk blandly says tha we should report incidents of fraud like this. Their position is, caveat emptor, "Let the buyer beware. " I recommend that you do so.
Tip for consumers:
Use this site only with extreme caution.
I met her the day after I intended to unsubscribe from Zoosk but Zoosk refused to give me my money back bc I was a day late. I thought that was weak but they tried to make it up to me by giving me 3 months for half off. The next day I met the love of my life. We were together for almost a year but it ended bc her ex husband is obsessed with her & her 15 yo son is an entitled sociopath. I'll always love her tho.
I don't have much experience with online dating, but this seems like a scam. It's free to sign up and make a profile, but when you try to look at messages, you have to pay. Also, there are coins you can buy to make yourself more visible to other users. It just seems kind of sketchy overall. Like if you made an account with no information they would send you fake messages hoping your curiosity would get you to pay for the subscription to read them.
Tip for consumers:
I really think it's a scam.
Zoosk seems like a pretty average dating webby. It gives you the option to sign up, add a few pictures of yourself, and add some basic information about yourself. Though you can do some things on the free version, they recommend you pay for more options to 'get noticed.'
While I've used dating sites before, I don't usually prefer them since most of them aren't conducive to the types of people I date. I'm cetrosexual and tend to date other fluid people like myself, non-binary, or trans women. Like many other webby's, Zoosk is a pretty run-of-the-mill site that limits your options on who you can meet, such as man/woman, man/man, or woman/woman. That excludes a LOT of other types of people or makes them 'try' and fit into a category they are not part of.
As with playing the lottery, I'm sure Zoosk works for some people but for others, it's likely a bust.
Tip for consumers:
My mum's not on Zoosk, so if you want to meet her, you'll have to do what all of the other blokes do and wait in line down on 2nd Street.
The site doesn't require enough information from people for you to make good judgements. Often, you are expected to accept or reject a person based on picture alone. How is that helpful? I ended up harassed by a guy so this is the end of my online dating attempts. Getting too dangerous out there and the sites care about money, not you. Stay away women! We should demand more rules for online dating sites. #onlinedatinglemonlaws
Although you can get a date, there are far superior apps out there. This one is filled with ghost profiles (abandoned) and the app does nothing to help you know that (you'll waste money on the useless coins finding out). One thing that should be known going in if you intend to date, know that you can only chat if you have a paid subscription. The so called carousel/smartpick is useless as the algorithm ignores geographic considerations, meaning you get matched with whoever is in the pool regardless of where they live. Free version of FB dating is better than this!
Tip for consumers:
don't waste your money
There are very few hot-looking women on Zoosk. The ones that look more or less ok are usually sockpuppet accounts with fake photos. It looks like Zoosk has no scam protection at all. They don't want to ferret out scammers, I guess these scammers contribute greatly to Zoosk profit. And profit is the only thing that Zoosk owners think about. They don't care about customers, they just want to make customers' wallets thinner by taking their money.
These view are fake. Zoosk is lousy site! They obviously mislead their customers giving them fake likes and matches. You get instant bot auto-responses. I left to http://J4Love.net The result of my search there is incredibly awesome: I finally spent Christmas with my woman! I had wasted 11 months on Zoosk and then it took me just one month here to meet my perfect woman. Don't let Zoosk con you into their shady and phony "dating" kingdom. Zoosk is worthless, time is precious! The longevity of profiles is tremendous, they are there for years, obviously outdated.
The real matches are scant and located at distant places. The fake matches are abundant especially when your membership is about to end. It's phony. I met my girlfriend on http://J4Love.net This dating service is a lot better than Zoosk, Match, Tinder, etc. They are more professional with ethical approach to business - something that Zoosk lacks now. Zoosk used to be better couple of years ago, but now they suck.
NO MA'AM IT IS NOT. In fact I only used the coins when I could get them for free. Under the system that's no longer possible. Nobody takes that sort of thing seriously, and for a woman it's even less relevant.
In the two months I have been on Zoosk. I have chatted with a number of woman, exchanged phone numbers and talked on the phone and I am just an average looking joe. I have also had times when I received a chat request and the person does not respond. You do have to pay to chat and the other person has to be a paid member. OK if your reading this there is one thing I found, if you search, only pay attention to the ones that say "recently online", the other ones may be fake or no longer active. It's a numbers game I have had many that did not respond to my messages also.
I believe it is. But how safe is the internet these days. Just don't be quick to give too much information too soon you will know when its right to share. Good luck
Unfortunatly not. You have to be a member. I suggest you don't try this site. It won't help you to find wat you're looking for. Cheers. R.
Chances are you're sending a message to someone that was a member long ago and isn't registered any longer. Zoosk is a total scam.
I can't believe you expect that! The whole idea is anonymity until people are comfortable with exchanging personal info.
