Not only did they overcharge me by not giving me the discount they said they were giving me, the website refuses to recognize my password and when you click forgot password to get them to email you a link the email never comes. I search every folder. Nothing. They make you jump through hoops to pay the card. Its just clown shoes all around. Plus most of their clothes are ugly and poorly designed so who needs the headache.

STOP SENDING SHOES WITH NO BOX TORRID!

STOP REMOVING MY REVIEWS FROM YOUR WEBSITE ABOUT NOT SENDING BOXES!

I have been a Customer for over 15 years and I spend thousands a year on your Clothing and Shoes.
Why would you remove my comment about dissatisfaction of not sending boxes?

Reduce your prices of shoes if you are not going to send a box.

Placed an order 7 days ago and its still processing it stated 10 days until order will be delivered. I called today and had the worst customer service telling me I should know during torrid cash it takes even longer to ship... I ordered from this place once 2 years ago and will never order again. I'm leaving on business trip and hope nobody steals my package while I'm away. Figure out logistics this is why companies fail.

Tip for consumers:
If your in a rush and don't have more than three weeks for waiting don't do it.

Torrid has customer service that can't resolve anything no matter how hard you try. I haven't received refunds in multiple orders and it's made me cancel my credit card. I notice a pattern with them, if an item is actually on sale they cancel the order or it never ships. If you try to rebuy that item for full price it ships immediately. They deserve to go under as a company because they are shady. All my orders from the last 2 months were canceled.

Everything I bought this year has literally fallen apart. 4 tank tops all have holes in them. If I am spending $30+ on a tank... I need it to last more than 2 times. I have a shirt I bought from this in 2009? And is still in perfect condition. Price has gone up and quality way down. Shipping is atrocious. Only underwear is good.

Don't buy it. It will fall apart

Torrid has really cute items, but the issue is the quality is terrible. I have had four tops fall apart on my in less than 1 month of use in the last 1-3 years. I generally tend to wear loose as I'm self-conscious and don't want ever roll/dimple/etc. Showing, so my clothes aren't being pushed to their limits, yet the seams keep ripping or coming undone (even in areas where the fabric isn't pulling at all). They seem to not handle the wash cycle well at all because they're so poorly constructed. I'm done purchasing from here, and just buy from Lane Bryant. The quality there, though still not fantastic, is much better than Torrid. Such a shame.

I do love Torrid, but their shipping system is atrocious. I ordered $242 worth of clothes on June 8, here it is July 2nd and they're still processing my order. I can't get anyone in the local store to verify if my ordered had been delivered because they don't answer their phones, and corporate is just as hard to contact. I'm so disappointed with torrid.

Don't select ship to store, don't buy online.

I have so much to explain about my bad experience with Torid. I wonder if they ever question their bad bad bad management? They keep my last pay, I text them, they told me to wait 5 more bus days, I text them back, they don't answer. It's been 2 months now. God knows guys! Keep it up.

Poor management, the problem it not the customer service the problem is Torid, manager and the CEO, hopefully one day you will think about the problem but not the money.

Purchased jeans a size smaller and they still stretched so much wearing it once. Washed them in hopes they may shrink a bit, and they still stretched so much wearing them. I called to see to explain the situation, that their jeans stretch two sizes and I just wanted an even exchange for a size smaller. They refused because I wore them already! But that WAS the problem. I wore them and they were FALLING OFF me! HORRIBLE COMPANY! POOR QUALITY CLOTHES. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Shop elsewhere!

I love thier clothes, but living outside the US I have to order online. The clothes take ages to arrive, and if you have any issues dealing with customer services is a nightmare. I'm not sure if they actually have customer service people or if they are bots, as the replies make little to no sense, and you just seem to go round in circles without ever reaching a resolution. If they are actual people I think they must tell them to be dumb on purpose so you give up and just cut your losses.

Update 1/7/23: Today I called the Torrid store I had gone into to make the purchase discussed in my original complaint. I asked if the prices on the website should match the prices in-store. The store representative at the Lynnwood, WA. Location stated that sometimes there is a price difference but if the customer asks for the online price they will honor it. She couldn't explain to me why the in-store system didn't update with the same info that shows online. She added that the employees have no idea what the price online is (wierd, because they can place online orders for you to have items delivered to the store so they must have access). I asked her, "well if the employees don't know, how can you expect the customer to know?". She added, "well, they have to look and tell us, the customer must request it". So I asked, "so, Torrid expects the customers to come in, & then check the online site on their phones while they're shopping so the know they're not being price gauged?". The employee responded, "yes, we're busy helping customers, we don't have time to look. The customer has to bring it up". I responded that was ridiculous & felt it was very dishonest of Torrid. I added that I felt Torrid could easily fix the problem but possibly chooses not to because many customers would never know or guess they were being taken advantage of. She added, "well, we have lots of customers that love us that come in…", & I stopped her. I stated that I also loved Torrid until I realized they were rewarding me as a repeat customer with Torrid cash & then requiring me to spend them on full-priced items in the store that were on sale for less than the amount I paid, using my Torrid cash towards it online! At that point she rudely said, "well, leave a review". It was very clear that we weren't going to get anywhere & I was talking to the wrong person. I requested the # to call someone who cared, preferably corporate. The employee stated, "you can call the customer care #". I already had a pen ready for the # & asked her for it. She stated, "you'll have to look online, I don't have the #". At that point I just lol! My thought was, "am I on Mars here?!". Am I really the only one that doesn't see everything wrong with this picture?! The customer service was laughable. To have an employee tell me they can't see online prices when they offer to order items online for you that they don't have in-store is ridiculous to put it lightly! Then to tell me you don't have the # for Customer Care when they will, & have in the past for me, also contact them for you when they need to locate your Torrid # or anything else, is extremely telling about the situation. I understand this employee does not have the ability to change a problem as large as the price gauging & dishonesty of a corporation; however, the complete lack of care or understanding & inability to provide any type of service, not even the customer care phone # is asinine! Yes, I can get online but you have it right there by the phone I am 100% sure! It shows defiance in refusing to provide me with info needed to resolve my issue & I'm wondering if her lack of customer service training is actually that or if they're coaches to respond this way in an effort to deter the customer. I did notice they have a D- rating on the BBB of which the are not accredited but there are still several unresolved issues. (I get it, there's a lack of good workers out there to hire, but come on, really? She couldn't show a little empathy, care or give a phone # for the company she works for? I've spent hundreds of dollars over the last several years at Torrid, I'm extremely disappointed & now realize that while I' belivse m when I thought of their name as the meaning of passion, hot & steamy, it's actually the British definition of Torrid meaning; full of difficulty & tribulation! Well played, Torrid, but the truth is coming out & being revealed. This won't be the end of our affair, it just will no longer be one of passion except to that of making sure everyone knows they're being played, scammed & ripped off! Until then Torrid. I accept the challenge!

Original Post: I've shopped at Torrid for years, more recently usually online. However today I had the opportunity of going to the actual brick & mortar store. I had earned $125 in torrid cash that I planned on spending online rather than jn store; however my daughter needed something specific & we decided to go yo the physical this time. We purchased the following item in the pictures today in-store. It was full-price but the employee suggested using Torrid cash towards it to bring the cost down, otherwise it's full price. So as suggested we used Torrid cash towards our purchased l; only to come home and see the very same garment on sale for roughly $23 online! This means I paid full-price in-store & used Torrid cash to bring it down to $25 & still paid more! I could've used that Torrid cash towards another item I wanted! I began looking at other items purchased & prices were all over the board! Why do the prices online not match what's in store. I basically just got scammed out of all the Torrid cash I earned $125 towards full price items in store that we're ion sale online! I could've purchased the same items online and saved my Torrid cash to go towards full price items (like, really full oriced items) I would love like. I love Torrid but this is a HUGE disappointment: the sales reps at the physical store said nothing about the sale prices online for the same item; & shouldn't they all match anyway. I'm sure there's probably some small print they'll refer me to in the long run about this, maybe I've missed it (something like proves reflected online are not the prices reflected in-store, or some crap like that! To me this is very dishonest! They rewarded me for shipping with them online & in-store by me earning Torrid Cash, & then they directed me to use it to save money in store when the same items were on sale online, therefore I was NOT rewarded, I was scammed! Shame on you Torrid! Always, always check the online prices if you ship at Torrid and be sure to know that you're actually getting rewarded by using Torrid Cash. I would like Torrid to please provide an explaination as to why I experienced this and how they can sleep at night knowing they're scamming the very individuals that are supporting & keeping them in business. Pic attached shows one of the items purchased on sale online but full-priced paid in store on same day! Online price $23.49. Price I paid in -store $55.50 -Torrid cash $31.57 Ridiculous!

Others should be very careful to search the same items online in Torrid’s site as prices are inconsistent. This will enable others not to feel scammed and to make informed choices. It will also align customers to being sure the get the rewards they deserve after being Torrid customers, rather than being scammed!

I have tried over and over to give them a try. I'm now at 3 weeks out for my online order. You can't get in the store what they have online so you are forced to order online. Unfortunately they items you order are out of season by the time you get them if you ever get them! You complain and you get a response sent to everyone. You call and can never get thru! Crooks are what they are-holding my $$$$$ hostage

Long time, loyal customer. I've spent thousands in stores around the US. Even more online. And my last experience has been completely different and terrible. I don't know if they have new owners, new direction for the company, or what, but it's a complete $#*! show. Ordered stuff online, some for pick up- received an email that my order was ready to be picked up from the store, drove an hour to the store, to pick up the gift I bought for a bridal shower that afternoon. They didn't have the order at all. For the stuff coming to my house, Only 1 of my 8 things have arrived. The rest all shows as "shipped" which was shipped prior to what actually came. No tracking number. Contacting customer service is a complete joke and waste of time. Yes their clothes are super cute. Yes they are made to fit plus size, curvy girls perfectly. However, it's all cheaply made stuff that they charge way too damn much money for. Which I was fine with, until now when I have hundreds of dollars worth of stuff in limbo somewhere, and no one can answer to where it is. Extremely disappointed.

Ordered a dress a month ago and when it arrived it was the wrong type, color and size. I called customer service and the lady I spoke to was really nice and said she would resubmit my order. I waited another 2 weeks and when I got my package this time it was the right dress but 3 sizes too big. I called customer service once more and this time the lady told me tough luck since the dress was now no longer in stock. I asked for a refund and told her I would send the packages back but the call dropped or she hung up on me. That's when I decided to give up.

Hendersonville TN Torrid charged tax on $125 gift card for total $143. This is illegal, unethical as it causes DOUBLE TAX on products purchased. Or is this how they boost profits?

Returned a pair of rain boots never worn, two days after receiving them in the mail to a local store. They were not on clearance. Store sale clerk gave me $5.64 refund for a pair of boots I paid $32.89 for. Refuses to make the correct adjustment. Told me I had to pass their inability to correct a mistake to my credit card company. The only way to get a full refund is to dispute the charges with the credit card company. I fell like i have been robbed. If Torrid really needs to keep the $27.25 owed to me. They can. But that just makes them a low down company.

I placed an order and waited 4 weeks. And nothing
I contacted there customer service and no one would help me. I spoke with Sarah ( who said she was a supervisor) and she did nothing for me.
Was insisting that I just take the refund and reorder the things again… she refused to contact the shipper or even replace the items.
She was ignorant and condescending.
Worst service.
I asked for her manger and that person never called me back.
They have officially lost a customer …

As you read by the headline, the total on my email confirmation was $150 higher than the total I agreed to! They did some serious shenanigans with the discounts and it ended up being higher than what I agreed to pay. I screen shot the total when I was checking out because I had a bad feeling about it. When I tried to contact customer service, she made no attempt to speak in any way that was comprehensible, I finally got out of her that I should call back and select # 2 which was automated at first and then it went to music he! Hold where it was never answered. I emailed them to cancel the wildly overpriced order but I wont hold my breath. NEVER AGAIN will I order anything from this crap company. It just doesn't have to be this hard every step of the way. They will be getting this order back. However, when I went to the website, returns were not offered so I have a feeling I will have to fight to do that to. Talk about making you earn your money 5 times to spend it once! I bet they make me pay for return shipping as well. Buyers remorse doesn't even come close to how much I regret clicking on their website.

I tried to make a return on the website for two weeks but kept getting a "try again later" message, contacted customer service via chat and waited for over an hour as the agent kept saying "so sorry! I'll send your return label soon! Thanks so much!" and after an extended wait time was ASSURED that I would receive a return label by mail. Well, it's been a week of waiting, checking my spam folder for the label, which is clearly NEVER coming. Be careful what you buy from Torrid because it will be yours forever.

I've spent alot of money this past year at torrid. Almost everything I bought is falling apart. You pay 30 to 40 bucks for a shirt and after 1 wash its faded and has strings coming out all over. I feel robbed to be honest. And I wouldn't even have left this review but they gave me a birthday reward and a bra reward and they cancelled my order and they do not answer emails in a timely manner. When they did finally email me it did not even make sense, they didnt answer my questions or say what happened at all. I bought a pair of black Jean's that came with that funky smell from the dye. I've only ever smelled that on cheap clothes but they charged me 60$ for them. Lol. I just cant believe they out here robbing big girls like this. Because they got cute clothes, big deal. Walmart has way better quality then torrid.

Expensive, low quality clothing. Slow shipping. Some stuff is ok but even their jewelry falls apart

I ordered something on 5/13. It didn't arrive until 6/1. The shoes didn't fit. The straps stuck way out from my foot. They want me to return to store or pay $6 shipping. The item was so faulty though... I don't feel like I should have to spend my money to return it.

I love torrid, but their custor service sucks. And I felt like a idiot by the reps expressions for my concerns over the phone. For plus size clothes and the prices we pay, ya think they had more friendlier customer service people. I found long as I found my right size after a couple tries, I dont have the need to speak to a rep. I figured out how their sizes run and when I need to go up or down a size or order what I need. AVOID CUSTOMER SERVICE!

The prices have only gone up and the customer service has gone down. Shipping, order fulfillment, and response time in 2022 is in the GARBAGE. Waited over 3 weeks for my last 2 orders, when they came they were missing items (stolen or cancelled, I've had both.) Current order is at 20 days and no response on shipping. I have been a loyal customer for many years, but Torrid has proven they don't give a crap about their fanbase. Horrible service, horrible shipping, and prices only continue to go up. I'm done.

Don't do it. Just find somewhere else. Not worth the wait or the terrible service.

I absolutely love this store with all of my heart as a big girl it is nice to be able to fit into clothes without trying hard lo BUT thr clothes are not only expensive but extremely cheaply made! I have 5 dresses from torrid and each and every one of them has either torn at the strap and had to be re-sewn or they are starting to tear at the strap and will eventually have to be re-sewn and that's really frustrating. I should not not have to spend $70 on a dress that's just going to break and look silly that has got to be fixed

I used to love doing business with Torrid. They have recently changed some items with website credit card billing and everything has gone to pot. My orders will get randomly cancelled with no notice to me. Customer service is rude and tries to blame problems on the customer. I used to have a smooth and good and simple online experience shopping with Torrid as a VIP. Now their shipping takes forever, and they have screwed up their online shopping to the point where, after spending many dollars with them, I no longer evemn want to do business with them.

Answer:

I recently returned an item after waiting more than two weeks for delivery. It took almost a month for them to respond and acknowledge that they received the returned item. I never wore the item (shoes) because they were too small and Torrid only refunded 1/2 of the purchase price. RIP OFF!

Hello, i was wondering if anyone can tell me if the clothes run big or small or if they are actually true to size?

Answer:

They are the most consistent in sizes that I have found - so depends on what store you are comparing them to and your body shape. I am kind of boxed shape (except for cutting in under the bust I am big everywhere) - they run smaller than Lane Bryant for me - but for my friend who is chest heavy she wears the same sizes at both. In comparison to most regular sized stores I size down - like I am a 4x at Old Navy - a 3x at Torrid.

DON'T ORDER SHOES FROM THEM! I recently returned a pair of sandals that did not fit. I returned them the next day and fortunately returned via UPS so I had a tracking number. It took almost a month to get an acknowledgement that they received the return ONLY because I kept sending them the UPS proof of delivery, and then ---- THEY ONLY REFUNDED HALF THE PURCHASE PRICE!
