I've placed several orders through this platform and every time the quality is simply so low. Grammar mistakes, wrong vocabulary, wrong and inaccurate information. Zero research. Writers are lazy, provide completely inaccurate information and clearly English is not their native language. Wasted money. Awful experience. Don't waste your money on this platform.

I have used TB since 2016. They started off great. I've used them for many articles. Throughout the years I have noticed the quality being no better than the freelance services online. Granted I didn't have 5 star articles written but most of the time the author didn't follow the direction even after a revision request. I find that after rejecting the article Text Broker is quick to refuse your rejection without paying attention to your side of the story. After years of using them and paying for a service that didn't meet my expectations I have no choice but to use other providers. Save yourself the BS of contacting customer service after they wrongfully reject your rejection. The quality assurance team isn't thorough. They are quick to refuse you and make you pay for something you didn't want.
Anyway they did refund my money but it wasn't until I disputed it via email and through a customer service rep. They had to look into my side. Whoever declined it originally copy and pasted the crap in the email.
I ordered a test article with 4-star quality. What I got was a plagiarised piece of garbage. I tried refusing, I tried canceling, I tried contacting the seemingly non-existent support. A week later, they put the article back out for tender even though I said I wanted it canceled. I couldn't get anyone on the line and had to close the account to stop 'writers' from continuously trying to submit articles that were garbage. The system wouldn't let me stop the task. And no refund even though I NEVER ACCEPTED THE ARTICLE! Call me old fashioned, but I call that theft.
Tip for consumers:
Go somewhere, anywhere else.
This site violates the laws regarding theft of wages. They come up with bogus rules that make contractors employees. Like what happened with Uber, someone needs to sue them.
The company claims that all their writers are native english speakers. But that't totally wrong. I have made several article requests in it and all of the articles came rubbish. A 5th grade boy will write better than their so called native speaking writers.

I like the fact that you can work at your own pace, but the pay is insulting for the work to be done. Textbroker is like a "sweatshop" of the digital age. You have to do some significant amounts of research at times, and can take some time to complete the article (under the pressure of time sensitivity, usually 24 hours)) for a very low pay. It's too aggravating for the pay I get. I am sure there are better freelance writing opportunities out there. Textbroker is the "had to start somewhere" type, but cannot stay in it long-term.
I think textbroker is good for people who have a person of writing and can out money out of it but it's not available at all countries which bothers me a little bit but is very good and ligiment I would recommend using it for a side hustle

You can make online money or I think just order
Terrible compensation, I am an English professor, submitted a written sample of my work, and these jokers rated me two out of five stars. Blatant misrepresentation of qualified editors. Run, don't walk away.
Textbroker is a great tool for quality content, however, I have found it to be trial-and-error in finding a good, quality writer.
I like that I can directly request my top writers for new articles, rather than put it into a pool for new writers.
I have written 60 articles and after so many years they closed my account because of one article they were not satisfied with. My articles in the past few months have been rated excellent by clients. I am very disappointed in TextBroker!
1. The passport registration is just horrible - long, very insecure and not understandable.
2. The process of accepting/reviewing the order is so misleading! I wanted the author to just make few corrections to the order, so clicked - Revise and gave feedback. Out of the sudden, the whole article is gone and I got completely new one, which is a piece of *, then review all over again, and again, complete waste of time:/
3. The user interface is super confusing, visibly not tested nor created with UX in mind. Is that even a technology company?

I found some very good writers here. But you have to give it time, or be very lucky :) Now that I have found some, I'll use TB more often.
I've been using Textbroker for over 6 years now, first as a writer and then as a client. I've had consistent great articles and press releases from writers. I'm so glad to have one website I can go to for the content I need. I've connected with several good writers that deliver consistent articles. The platform is easy to use and I especially like the templates I can save for easy repeat ordering.
They redesigned and the new design is so horrible, that it is barely usable. So many bugs and frustrations, I am planning to start using freelance sites rather than this. Paid 20K so far for content, the customer support is either not responding or rude and ignorant as hell. I know other people got similar issues as well. This is not how a business should be run.
Tip for consumers:
Check for other alternatives instead.
First, it took Textbroker at least 10 days to even look at my writing sample. When I inquired, they approved it later that day with an apology. They also accepted my article samples. But later, after giving me a 4-star rating, they took my article links down, saying my byline was against policy. I hadn't realized that, so I understood. But why accept them in the first place?
Besides this, which was a mere frustration, the rates are poor at best. I've written professionally for almost 20 years, drumming up freelance on my own, and Textbroker rates are CRIMINAL, even for beginner writers. Four-star writers receive around 6 cents per word, if that. Even the lower paying assignments I've had with various companies and websites have paid 20 cents more per word than this text mill, at the very *least*. If you want to work hard (writing can be tough) and provide valuable content that clients will profit from much more than you will, then go for it. Work for Textbroker if you need a start. Even a bleak one. But if you value yourself and your work, don't.
You're better off approaching companies, websites and organizations on your own, without this middleman to rip you off.
Having used them for 5 articles, I can say with certainty that the work their supposed "5 star" writers suck. What's worse, if you tell them you're unhappy with the quality of the work, they don't care. They still keep the crap writers at 5 star even with poor customer feedback. Bad customer service, crappy writers, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
I've used this service before at my job and now set up my own account to use for my clients. The payment system was frustrating to begin with. Once I got all that sorted out I started putting in orders. Several of the authors did not follow instructions and refused to do a revision, at which point the content was due to my client so I wrote it myself. Apparently, when the authors kicked back the articles into the pool it removed the due date and I was charged for three pieces of content even though they were past due.
This and several other issues (including setting up my own author pool, tracking changes, customer service, etc.) have led me to be hesitant when using TextBroker. I can't write everything myself so I have my own writers I use and will still use TextBroker but only in case of emergency. Its also not the highest quality content but its worth what you pay so if you pay the premium it might be better, I just haven't had an experience that warrants spending more money than I have to.
I appreciate being able to get the content done quickly but I use Textbroker as a last resort. My work is very research-intensive and many writers do not fully read my instructions, which is frustrating. Some writers take the articles in completely irrelevant directions. It often takes a revision or two to get the work right. Overall, though, the work is satisfactory with some edits.
I'm new to Textbroker however in the time that I have made use of the services I have always been more than satisfied with the results. It saves me time, energy and peace of mind knowing someone else can type my content.
Textbroker now requires writers to re-verify their accounts by sending a photo of themselves showing their faces completely while holding a picture of their ID cards that is easy to see in the photo too and if you don't comply within a day, they permanently close your account. I'll try to find a better site that lets you write for clients and is likely to last.
I use text broker to quickly get content for our website and in less than a few hours, we typically have the article being worked on. Then a day or less later, it's done. Love it!
Hello Sherryle. When you sign up with Textbroker, you essentially become a ghostwriter. You'll need a PayPal account as that is how the company pays on a weekly basis. You don't get personal credit for the content because you're writing on the behalf of clients. Jobs are placed in the queue that you can accept if you wish. Once you complete the job and the client accepts the work, you are credited the money. Every Thursday night, you manually accept payment into your PayPal account and are paid on Fridays. You will need a valid form of ID - since it is a legitimate company operating out of Las Vegas. Some people have a problem with that, but they file taxes and send 1099s just like any other US business. It's no different than applying for a job in your local town - if you live in the US. They have a trial period when you first sign up to determine your skill level. If you're an exceptional writer, you can start at level 4 - which makes more money per word. Personally, I started at level 3 and worked my way up. The best way to maximize the experience is to be picky on the jobs you take and sign up for any active teams you can. Team Orders usually pay higher and have a greater volume of work. Some can keep you busy until judgement day. If an order is too confusing or has questionable requirements, move on to something else. You'll experience less problems that way. If you develop a good report with Open Order clients, you can attract Direct Orders. These are some of the most lucrative orders you can get because you set the pay per word. In the time I have been writing with the company, I've attracted quite a few Direct Order clients. I've been working with Textbroker since 2012 and have completed more than 4,000 orders. On average, I make around $15 per hour when I actually sit down to write. Working from home has a lot of distractions :). With one particular team, I can make $50 in less than an hour, but those orders go pretty quick as there are more than 100 authors in that team. Keep your profile updated and filled out completely. When clients and team leaders search the database for authors, your skills and interests will be how they find you. I hope I was helpful and good luck. Take advantage of the author forums. There's a lot of good people that can help you out - such as myself.

Because TextBroker sadly deserves it. I used them a number of years ago, when they appeared honest and gave a good wage for a reasonable effort. I was initially very pleased with theie turnaround and pay, even though I was rated a 3, low for my skills with an M. A. in journalism and many professional writing jobs under my belt, But I took the evaluation, confident I could easily pull it up on my next review, and worst case, get up to and maintain a 4. And once they saw my range and level of skills, I thought surely I could reach a 5. But I never got any higher no matter what effort I put into it. And then the pay rate got cut across the board, and then got cut again and again. Further, the editors I worked with were horribly unqualified and would return my work to change minor things they should have changed themselves. For example, one editor kept returning my work saying to delete a space between words! I had accidentally had two spaces in a few places. And a few very minor corrections that she should have not only seen but CORRECTED HERSELF. There were no typos or any grammar corrections. I checked with a Wellesley college grad who'd been a professional editor for Houghton-Mifflin, and I asked her to review THEIR comments on my work. She was appalled. She said they did not know what they were talking about, and they were clearly sending back my work for minor things that they should have taken care of themselves. One TB editor and I played ping pong so long on insignificant things that I lost my deadline on a job! I warned her we would lose it, but she continued to take 2-4 days to turn around a 500-wd article, with only minor changes she should have made as an editor. I think they saw their profit margin dwindling at some point and made some changes that wrecked it for the writers. I finally got fed up and left.
Textbroker is the leading digital content creation site. We bring clients and authors together to create custom content, such as blogs, product descriptions, press releases and more!
The idea behind Textbroker is to satisfy the growing demand for custom content. As an SEO provider, Textbroker founder Jan Becker-Fochler experienced first-hand the increasing importance of unique content to his clients; after all, unique content leads to a better ranking in search engines, more traffic and more revenue. Then, in 2005, Becker-Fochler came up with the idea to search for authors, motivate them to write, rate the quality of their work and compensate them for their effort. To accomplish this, he commissioned the development of a preliminary version of the Textbroker platform.
Within a short time, thousands of authors eager for the chance to earn money with their writing signed up. In 2007, Textbroker launched the Internet’s first content marketplace. Today, Textbroker authors deliver high-quality product descriptions, blog posts, press releases, social media posts, news stories, and technical articles and a wide variety of other written content to clients around the world. In essence, Textbroker is a better, faster, easier and less expensive way for companies to get freelance written content.
