I've used rtr maybe 10 times now, and I always get what I need when I need it. Recently I couldn't get a dress because the last customer returned it in bad condition. They reached out to let me know and sent me SEVERAL replacements the next day with no price difference. Amazing customer service!

Don't rely on the items you ordered to show up. Good luck! I had an order for months and it magically got cancelled 4 days before my event.

Received item that wasn't the right size and no replacements available. No clear direction on return policy other than returning item within 24 hrs which I did. But supposedly you're supposed to contact them in advance before returning it even though this wasn't specified (I didnt contact them because there were no replacements available based on their calendar for said item). They refused to honor crediting the item despite following their policy. NEVER AGAIN

My suggestion for you don't sign up for this service! Not worth it, they are dishonest company. I cancelled my membership but somehow was still being charged; when I asked for refund/ credit as I never rented any clothe during those times they said no. Simply took my money without giving service! Cancel your o ASAP y'all.
I know that I have previously talked about this great company Rtr Renttherunway however, I would like to retract my previous praise. Unfortunately, I placed a rental a month in advance for an event I have this evening, and was just informed that they were unable to ship the dress. When I asked why no one notified me, they said that an email was sent two days ago, however, it apparently went to spam. It apparently didn't dawn on anyone to pick up the phone. What horrible customer service. I am now left scrambling to put something together with literal hours until the event. I would not recommend using them unless you have a clear back up plan. My daughter used my credit card (with my permission) to rent a dress. She didn't return it in time (there were extenuating circumstances). They dinged my card 3 times for $1090 each time. Per their rental agreement, the could have left me on the hook for $1945 and refunded the rest. They were good enough to refund all 3 of those charges. We will use them again.
I have many examples - My current order is 'lost' -they continue to charge me. Customer support (especially over email) is dumb. They continue to apologize and charge without actually helping.
I have lost at least 500 extra to RTR over last 6 months, on top of what I should have paid.

It's actually really sad that I have to write this because I used Rent The Runway for many years. I was one of the first people I knew to hop on the trend, and the quality of the clothes was impeccable, fit well, unlimited swaps, and very clean clothes. When they got rid of the unlimited swaps a year or two ago, that was so incredibly disappointing, but I stuck with it. Only until I realized that the quality started going down and the clothes were not being washed as well. I don't know if it is because they got very popular and cut costs in some areas but the biggest reason of all for me to finally cancel my subscription was that I realized MOTHS were in the clothes and clothing bags. Yes, MOTHS… tiny little bugs that eat clothing, and are near impossible to get rid of once they are in your home. Absolutely disgusting.
Rent the Runway is a great idea and I have used it in the past and enjoyed wearing a few new things to the office. Although the last couple of times has left me more frustrated - you aren't able to see what's currently available until AFTER you purchase a membership. Once you purchase the membership, a lot of the items that you saw before and wanted to order are unavailable in every size. This was very frustrating as now i'm stuck and don't like any of the other dresses available for a specific event I have. I won't be using RTR in the future.
Wow, RTR, where do I even start! The whole format of the website is a scam, you cruise around looking for things you might rent only the find that item is not available. The quality of the clothing is extremely awful, things have visibly been over worn and need replacing! Additionally, customer service is AWFUL and there is no getting your money back.

I tried RTR for 2 months and only got to wear 1 pair of pants. They lost my order multiple times and it took weeks before they resolved anything. They delivered it a building a block away. The address is clear and I receive other deliveries. I asked them to refund my money for the month that they messed up since I haven't been able to wear anything and they refused. I even told them that I had picked out outfits to wear on my trip and for events and that I had to go out and buy new outfits at the last minute which was an inconvenience. They still did nothing. I would never recommend RTR and would really caution away from it.
I was excited to try Rent the Runway. While you do get what they say you get, I was expecting household, high end name brands. What I had to select from were mostly brands I didn't know. I also had a hard time finding items I liked. They give you the option to buy the item if you want, but only for a very small discount (not worth it). One item I could buy for the exact price I could buy it new. It was also confusing figuring out when my clothes were due to send back. I still don't know. 2 of the 4 hangers they came on broke as soon as I took the clothes off them. All in all, the app wasn't as user friendly as I'd hope and the clothing selection was disappointing. I was pretty disappointed with the whole experience.

I wish I could give this company 0 stars. I ordered three dresses to rent for a formal event. ONE DAY before my event, I still didnt have my dresses. I had to reach out to the company and ask where my dresses were. They were never delivered. I had to ask the company where they were. They did not reach out to me and let me know there was a problem with my order. Moral of the story, I have an event tomorrow and have 0 formal dresses to wear. DON'T RISK RENTING FOR AN IMPORTANT EVENT!
I ordered dresses for my son's wedding which is tomorrow. They should have been here days ago. I have nothing to wear tomorrow. I cannot believe what an awful stressful situation I am in. I will NEVER rent from you again. I spent the money, and ordered way ahead and made sure to have the address. What should be a great time for me wearing a pretty dress is me wearing a ridiculous pair of slacks. I am disgusted and will be sure I never rent again! I kept bugging my son about this. Horrible….
While this is an amazing idea, ordering weeks or even a month ahead doesn't guarantee you an outfit. There was a dress I originally saw that wasn't available and then I found a dress I absolutely fell in love with. A month before the wedding, i reserved and paid for it. I got a text days before the wedding saying that it's unavailable and that I should hurry and pick something else. No thanks. It's just far too complicated to get anything from this company. Unreliable.
I got a membership and enjoyed it for 6 plus months but now the Dallas wear-house uses a third party delivery company called return mates. I have not received items in 2 months now. They keep "re-opening" spots for me to make another order but never receive it. I gave them 7 weeks and 4 orders to try to resolve the problem but they can not figure out shipping. Do not recommend.

I've called rent the runway 3x over the course of a year. Was promised each time that my membership that I've never used was cancelled. Then proceeded to bill me every month. Lost $1000 to this company. And I'm sure they know what they're doing. Shame on them.
I thought I was making a one time purchase/trial. I received the dresses I requested, 3 of them did not fit and the one that I could have worn smelled of body odor. I sent them back, sad that I had spent $100, but thought it was a one time loss. Four months later, I realized they were charging me $100 per month and I was receiving absolutely nothing. When I asked for a refund because I had not received any goods or services, they denied my request. A good, honest company would refund money if the customer had received absolutely NOTHING in return for the money that was paid. If I could give 1/8 of a star, that would be too much.

I accidentally let me paused membership lapse and got charged the $101 monthly fee. I contacted the company through the chat to explain my situation and get the charge removed but they refused. Poor customer service and I will not be using the company any more.
They obviously are scammers. They pretend they got your order partially and start charging you extra starting with the first order. When i fell into the same scam trap, I kept thinking why they are not in trouble and I read the law suit with Fashion Pass. Made me realize what a horrible decision it was subscribing to Rent the Runway. Do your own research.
The whole point of using this service is to receive clothing by a specific date - not only was the package LATE and not arriving in time for the event, but then they said the package was delivered and nothing was ever delivered! From there, their customer service was AWFUL - not helping at all when I should have been issues a refund IMMEDIATELY. Terrible experience and will never use them again! AVOID!
Due to quality problems with the last three dresses I received, I went to the website and cancelled my subscription. Rent the Runway continued to bill me anyway and was able to take over $400 from me because I could not prove I clicked the cancel button on their website. If you cancel due to quality problems like I did, be VERY careful to check that their website actually works when you cancel.
I am a school teacher and like most public servants cannot afford to be taken advantage of.

RTR needs to have better quality control. I rented 9 items and 8 out of 9 that I received were extremely worn/defective/dirty. Some of the dresses I received were so yellowed, so raggedy. The elastic on one was so worn that it no longer stretched. I reached out to customer service and they sent replacements that had the EXACT SAME ISSUES. Not happy at all.

I am going through this now. You would think that they would stop using UPS with customers having the same issue. It is clear that UPS is not scanning the items when they get them.
I signed up for unlimited membership on a Saturday made my selections - the website showed it'll be delivered by Tuesday 8 PM - didn't get here for almost a week! What's the point of getting unlimited when they purposely hold items and don't notify the customers when the items are not up to par or available the when you're told it will be. Membership is not worth it - I called customer service - on Wednesday to ensure my dresses got here Thursday - she assured me they will get there --- NOPE! LIES! I had to return the dresses same day it was delivered because they came too late!
