I wanted something with a data center in US West, used KVM and not openVZ and had a good price. So far everything has gone perfectly. I would also like to thank you for not hiding things behind pricing walls. A company being straightforward with costs from the start is reassuring.
I signed up for hosting and they provided no service. Just kept creating support tickets passed on in an endless circle! I finally canceled and expected a refund but they refused. Even putting my account into collections even though they owe me! Beware of these people!

Hostwinds has been my internet web hosting provider for several years...i especially appreciate their prompt and helpful service assistance if i get into a little technical difficulty...the cost price is competitive i think...they have a wide range of self-help website add-ons and helper programs in addition to the usual wordpress options...i am using 3 of the 4 domains that i have available at my level of service and it costs around $11 per month
they have top notch prompt polite customer service for technical issues......they won't build your website for you but they will solve every other tech issue related to the usual technical bumps and bruises that novice users have when adapting to a web host paid service.
I chose hostwinds initially several years ago because at that time they were offering a full 3 years of webhosting for a one time introductory price of something like $40 for one domain...i was a novice and this was a good way to start...prices went up to over $10 a month later which was a big jump for an elderly retired person but i stayed with hostwinds...if i change webhosts in the future it will be because hostwinds raises prices to where they aren't competitive for my needs...i'm a retiree who does a website for pleasure and i conduct no business on the sites, just low level impromptu blogging occasionally, mostly pictures of my dogs...so i make minimal demands on the system and i hope to pay minimally for same.
This was quick and easy. Also, THANK YOU for allowing PayPal as a payment option. I see many great reviews for your hosting services and I have GoDaddy (soon to drop it), Bluehost, NameCheap, and SiteGround.

Really glad to run my new website with Hostwinds - their shared hosting service is really stable and professional. I tend to place fairly technical support calls. In over 20 support calls (almost never for a problem, almost always for an implementation or coding question) I have never had worse than 15 mins first response, usually with an appropriate resolution. Calls that took longer clearly needed to take longer.
I like the fact that there's a human being support every time I get on here instead of some crappy robot assistant. Keep up the good work guys (and gals)!
I was fortunate to have the guidance offered by your Front-line support. WIth using VPN, each selection reset the chat. That did not deter any of the staff from being extremely helpful. Luke, Nyles, I'm leaving off at least another one... all have superb knowledge of the product offerings. If it wasn't for their guidance and clear answers, I ended up choosing a VPS in Amsterdam, which will allow for us to expand our non-profit efforts to EU as well as Eastern Europe. Always a pleasure!
Have account with you I did chat no help they had no clue. I selected 2 domains and did not see where to delete one of them. They could not understand. I went into cart at billing at the bottom i found the trash can to remove one choice. My request was so simple it went right over the chat persons head. 3 chat backs could not understand. I got it on my own You got rid of phone chat too bad.

You've hosted my server for a while. Might as well keep it under one roof. No problems so far, and the occasional tech support has been rapid and knowledgeable.
Great products, service and quick responses. I'm very happy with the experience so far. The only negative aspect was that the pricing for the service listed both included and optional features, and I did not catch the difference in the language used (features included vs features offered). Besides that, the list of options available allowed me to tailor what I wanted and select my favorite OS.

Access via RDP works fine from my MacBook Pro. I'm trying to install an MT5 platform, and am not experienced sufficiently for that, so finding a little difficulty setting that up. I appreciate most people will be sufficiently better versed than I, but an option for some guided tutorial on first entry would help me. (unless I have by chance simply missed one that's already there...)
