Claimed his bank account in Canada being blocked because his Turkish accountant failed to file proper tax record and keep asking for money for different purposes. Trying to contact CMB if can find his profile for reporting to police.

This company allows so many scammers and fake profiles. In my daily dozen, usually 75% are fake profiles, they all say they're from China and use stock pictures. Just to see what would happen, I matched with a couple and they responded with the exact same sticker emoji at the exact same time. I feel bad for any Asian person who wishes to use the service to actually find a relationship because with the amount of scammers that pretend to be Chinese, they're making it difficult for women to determine who is for real. Complete waste of time.
Tip for consumers:
Avoid!
Why pay for this s#*t!? I found an upscale dating site AdultsFun.club
-they really work. For everybody. They work for me and they will work for you. If you want to meet girls in flesh (girls who look like a magazine cover), use a legit site. CoffeeMeetsBagel is useless even if you don't mind going on a date with someone ugly. They just don't have real people AT ALL!
You pay to play and they are not even trying to hide it. Read their T&C. These women who message you and "can't wait to hear from you" are paid animators.

His name is Gary Wong a Chinese American-Singaporean. Locate his profile in Singapore. Works as project engineer manager on the oil rig at Kuwait. He claims as a loner - has no friend and no social media, his mom died last year and cheated by his fiancée 2,5 years ago. A polite sweet person. Try to build your trust. Not too "too good to be true". End up with a story of "brokedown machine" which need to be fixed. He asked to login to his account and make the transfer to the supplier. Because he trusts me so much!
His English is quite good (rare to find typo or miss-spelling). Chated via Whatsapp with +1(306)*********
Once you reject to do the banking transfer he will drop the communications down.
The scammer probably stole someone else profile. I feel sorry to this guy!
4 fake profiles in one week... it's a shame bad folks can destroy a good business. If you're already in and paid, I recommend you request a new photo of the person making a thumbs up or a peace sign or whatever floats your boat. At least you can tell if the person is who they say they are.
More than a waste of time, it's kind of heartbreaking when you think you've finally connected with someone, and you realize they don't exist.
The scammer goes by the name Alex Jihun Lee (이지훈) and claims he is Gyopo(Korean American). He also claims he is an entrepreneur and seeking love from Korea as women in New York don't have high values on family. Don't fall for his body and face as time goes by, he will share with you the pumped out body torso. His english is good but he uses some words they are not very American also when you voicetalk his accent on certain words also doesn't sound so American. His written English is perfect.
When he asks you to transfer money the account holder has some African name.
I don't know if this guy's picture has been taken off from somewhere or Some Korean American is working with the African guy. He will randomly threw some Korean food pictures and he has perfect romanized Korean spelling like "Tteokbokki". He claimed he never spoke Korean home with his paretns but he can read Korean.
Tip for consumers:
Watch out scammers! Don't be a victim.
Girls have fake profiles, just thought she is my love but i cant relate shes real, there is need of some verifications for this app
Tip for consumers:
just dont use it
Please be careful with any guy who gave you the number +44-7452 and asked you to add them, This number is from Isle of Man but the guy will claim that they are in London or UK at the moment.
Attached is the photo that scammer used, he claim his father is from HK and his mum is from Korea.
It's easy to tell if he is a scammer, just ask for a video call, then the guy will disappear.
Got banned after reporting a scam activity. The customer service is very rude, asked me to send a photo with three fingers up, saying that if I sent the photo I will get reverified. After I took the photo, sent the photo with three fingers up. He said oh we still cannot verify you, and we cannot tell you the reason. What a jerk he is. If you want to ban me with no reason and no matter what, why waste my time taking the photo for you?
I think this app is better for those who are looking for relationship until I met a scammer the other day. This is a better platform for scammers as tinder required face to face "Netflix and chill", on CMB people tried to chat and develop feelings before meeting up which allows the scammers have the chance to lure you Into something else and steal your money.
The scammer was using this guy's pic ( see attached) please let him know if you know him. And you can let me know who he is as well. Cuz I think he is really cute:)
Anyway be aware of the person who you are chatting to, below could be one of the red flags
- not local number, an overseas number
- profile pic is not himself / herself: they are faking multiple different identities therefore they can't use their face in the watsapp pic
- Ask for money / investment
- they just look too good to be true
Dated a couple of guys locally in Singapore and most of them are genuine. It is not difficult to identify scammers as soon as they ask you for money or are unable to meet in person. However, the problem is there are guys who lied that they are single when they are actually married, probably just looking for cheap thrills. Came across this guy who called himself MLSF, KP or Kwee Peng who wasn't honest about his age and marital status. If you are looking for something serious, look out for red flags early. Some of the guys are just looking for friends with benefits, keep your sanity, and don't fall too soon - unless you're looking for cheap thrills!
Since using CMB every guy that I've talked to is a scammer. Stories are all the same, plus they don't usually put up a photo on their WhatsApp. Why? Cos they probably using a few different faces at a time. I've blocked & reported all these profiles. Dating websites should take some responsibility & clean them out as much as possible. I don't see CMB doing much. SO avoid these So called overseas workers, on contracts, oil rigs, engineers, military etc... never depart with your money even if they send all these stolen photos of kids, houses, the lot.
Same old tricks!
Got liked by this china guy, talk alot about himself, never met this guy at all too. Started calling me babe or darling, and sing to me ( his singing sucks btw) it was gross whenever he called me that and continued say want to do financial management together, i followed and earn about 500plus from it. And i was stupid and follow his scam and he manage to scam 7k from me. I believe he doesnt look like the pictures, he must be ugly and freak looking.
Please report him right away on Coffee meets bagel if you receive a like by this man. He will try to scam you with his charm and intellect. It is so disgusting that another human being can use the trust in love to manipulate and take from another. My heart goes out to everyone that is experiencing such disgusting behavior. Please don't give up on love, use the experience as a lesson to continue to keep your heart open to love but use your intellect to protect it.
Ladies, pls take extra precautions towards this guy named either Terry or Peter Wong in CMB.
He is a love scammer who is out to cheat your feelings and monies as well.
He will send sweet talk messages to you everyday for 2 weeks. After two weeks, he will lure you to set up Google Hangouts and started to pester you to transfer money to pay his oil rig items to his so-called supplier named Benson Lee in HK.
Pls see the photo attachment of his latest profile in CMB.
One day, I was suddenly logged out of my Coffee Meets Bagel account. Problem was it was linked to an old phone number, so I had no way of getting back in.
I reached out to customer support and they gladly updated the phone number linked to my account, but this took a few days to do. Would've been easier if they had a self service tool to do it like other dating apps.
Unfortunately once they updated the phone number on my account, it supposedly triggered all these security flags and I had to submit a selfie to verify my identity. They refused to tell me why, and upon asking them to delete my personal information they also refused. In every email, they keep blabbering on about "safety of our members will always be our number one priority" and just blandly linked me to their terms and conditions page.
Would be nice if they could highlight exactly what the issue was instead of bringing me to a page with a whole wall of text. It's like I'm asking for something in school and they've just dump an encyclopedia in front of me, expecting me to find the answer among the hundreds of pages in there.
All this - after I simply requested for the linked phone number on my account to be changed.
I left it. I tried AdultsFlirt.com just as an experiment and as an attempt to find a legit alternative to CMB and I must admit that they really stand out. It feels like a breath of fresh air. Women are real and good-looking, capable of holding a decent conversation. I can see them on live video and they don't ask me for money. As for CoffeeMeetsBagel, this site steals money from consumers! Also they steal photos of models from their social media. They lure you in with these photos and rip you off. They are just money grubbers. I left CMB because of its absolute lack of accountability. All the messages I got were bot written templates, all likes were fake. It was so easy to tell that there were no real people behind those photos and messages. It's totally misleading and unscrupulous app!
Met loads of scammers on this site. All had similar stories. All were not living in town but planned' to move there in two months time. Talked to you every day and then asked you for money to repair equipment. Check the photos of them.
Despite paying for premium, I find very few profiles available in my age range (over 35). Not scammers like I'm reading about here, though I had one connection early on with a woman who seemed to be a 10' interested in me. Now I wonder if that was a teaser scam. Not a single date from this site
Compared to any other dating app I've tried Coffee Meets Bagels was at the absolute bottom in terms of getting connections and/or dates and I was a paid subscriber. It was easily dead last compared to Match OkCupid, Bumble, Zoosk, Elite Singles, eharmony and one or two others I don't recall and some of these other apps are also quite awful. Save your money.
Nine out of ten profiles are fake. They will say they prefer to chat on WhatsApp etc.
So it's more difficult to be reporter. They are always not near your location and will find many excuses for not meeting up but very glad to continue chatting
Bagels are fake. Almost never reply. Different countries same sex, repeated. Not one date in three months. This app is designed to string vulnerable males along to make as much as they can out of them. Shame

stay away gentlemen

Beware of the man named Terry Cheng Aaron. Director of a company called Terry Dream World Construction. He is from Manchester and he will give you his company website and address. He claimed his Father has passed away... Mom passed away and was from Hong Kong. He loves Singapore and able to give examples like the local food he likes and place. He chats... Write poems and tell you how much he feels and love you. Gave you a lot of promises but all seemed too good to be true. Says he will visit you and then last minute held up at another country with all sorts of reasons that seemed like more exciting than Korean dramas... Then asked for $$ help in the end. Recently he changed his profile at Coffee Meet Bagel.
Well... I also do know of some "real" men and all are alright. Just keep an open mind and be mindful who you are chatting with.
Scam City!
Had a guy "like" me, he was above-average looking and the right age range so I responded and started a chat conversation.
Within days he claimed to be deployed out of the country, but lived locally, and a few days later started asking for iTunes cards.
I refused.
I'm sure if I had committed there would have been increasingly expensive "favors" requested. I'm no desperate sucker.
Deleted the app.
Have you ever met a guy called Logan' or Logan Morris Tim'? He claimed he is on a contract working in Kuwait and he deals with oil rigs. He is a Petroleum Engineer. His English is pretty good, claimed he is mix American and Singaporean. Found him fishy and challenged him with many questions. He couldnt answer so I blocked him.
Scam. Just ask him his ethnicity. He'll say "white/caucasian" and claim he doesn't know.
